Woman Dumped by Husband for Her Best friend, Won Double Lottery Jackpot
A woman who was dumped by her husband for her best friend in Colombia has dramatically won a double lottery jackpot in Colombia.
The lucky winner, from Barranquilla that has not been named, reportedly won £268,000 from two lottery tickets.
It was said that in the middle of celebrating the win, her ex-partner who dumped her, gave her a playful call to congratulate her on the win, and she immediately brushed him off.
The woman was said to be close to losing her home when she decided to buy lottery tickets by the firm Supergiros where you get the jackpot by winning two draws, which in itself is considered almost impossible.
However, by a dramatic turn of goodwill, she had the winning ticket 8628 in the El Sinuano lottery and 1935 in the Caribbean night draw.
Local media outlet Zona Cero, while not publishing her name stated that she was a seamstress and was days away from losing her home, as she could not afford to pay the mortgage, and that her daughter had not been able to register in the latest term at university, due to a lack of money.
As a last resort, the woman bought the ticket on January 17 which was by chance also a year to the day that her husband had left her for her best friend which was said to have left her in serious financial trouble.
She was reportedly ecstatic when she found out that she had won the huge amount of money which was said to be one of the biggest ever jackpots claimed in the South American country, where the average monthly salary is £800.
It is also believed to be the biggest amount ever won in the Supergiros lottery that she took part in.
