The Director General of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Lanre Gbajabiamila summoned the representatives of the betting company; Msports to a meeting in Abuja, over reports relating to non-payment of winnings.
According to the DG, the meeting was called due to numerous complaints against the company by bettors, who allege that the company has failed to pay their winnings as at when due. Also, the meeting was to give the betting company the opportunity to answer to the allegations that went viral online and for all issues pertaining to the matter to be resolved.
Both the DG and the representative of Msports; Mrs Fumilola Akingbelu, while speaking after the meeting, stated that all issues pertaining to the matter were resolved at the meeting and that Msports will pay all outstanding winnings as soon as possible and unblock all the blocked accounts within a short time.
