NLRC clears 19 operators Listed in the LSLGA Publication

Following the recent public notice by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) that made global headlines, the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) has come out to make clarifications on the status of some of the affected companies.
The Director-General of the NLRC, Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila in a statement, clears 19 of the LSLGA listed operators. He stated that the operators were duly licenced to conduct lottery and sports betting business in Nigeria in spite of the publication by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) which claimed that they were unlicenced.
Approved Operators
The operators cleared by NLRC include ZEBET, BETIKA, GOBET, MSPORT, AFRIBET BANGBET, BETWAZOBIA, KORETBET, PARIPESA, LIVESCOREBET, BLACKBET/BETTY BINGO, CLOUDBET, HALLABET, N1BET, KONFAMBET, SCRATCH2WIN, NAIJABET, LOTTOMANIA and MILLIONAIRE POWERPLAY.
The clearance by NLRC was for the public to know the actual status of the operators with regard to the operation of Sports betting and Gaming in the country.
NLRC Statement
According to the statement, it was necessary for NLRC as the Agency, created by law to regulate Lottery and Gaming in Nigeria to make clarifications, so the cleared gaming operators listed as “unlicenced and illegal” in the publication of LSLGA are duly licenced to conduct lottery and sports betting business in Nigeria.
NLRC in the statement deeply regrets any misconceptions the unfortunate publication may have caused the national gaming licencees operating within the ambit of the law in Nigeria.
