Nigeria Set to Launch Its National Game in Abuja

In 2020, the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) planned to launch a national game, but the launch was truncated due to some controversy on due process and non-involvement of operators during the process.

Fast forward to 2022 and the NLRC is set to launch the national game again. However, according to reports the Nigeria national game will adopt the UK Lotto 6/49 rather than the popular Ghana 5/90 games. The launch is slated for the 18th of July, 2022 in Abuja.

The DG of NLRC; Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila, during a business visit to Ghana extended an invitation to the DG NLA of Ghana, Mr. Samuel Awuku for the launch of the Nigeria National Game, by Elrae Technologies Limited. Mr. Awuku, accepted the invitation, and confirmed participation of NLA in the forthcoming launch of the Nigeria National Game.
