FDJ Partners with PSG on a Responsible Gambling Campaign
French national lottery operator, Française des Jeux (FDJ) has allied with Ligue 1 football club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), to launch a new responsible gambling campaign.
The campaign will focus on FDJ’s ParionsSport’ online and retail sports betting brand, which is a premium partner of PSG, to promote responsible sports betting and discourage underage gambling in France.
The joint campaign will be a first of its kind, between a football club and a sports betting operator, in France. The campaign will run on television and across social media, with two short films that will feature a number of PSG’s stars.
Players billed to appear in the campaign include Kylian Mbappé, Nordi Mukiele, Neymar Jr, Danilo Pereira, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Hugo Ekitike, Renato Sanches and Vitinha.
According to FDJ director, Richard Courtois, the organization is pleased with the collaboration with Paris Saint-Germain, as it has enabled FDJ to jointly propose an awareness campaign, on a fundamental subject for ParionsSport, and the FDJ group at the heart of its responsible gaming model.
Sports betting according to Courtois, must remain a recreational activity, intended only for adults. Hopefully, the responsible gambling message, which has been carried by FDJ for many years, and currently with Paris Saint-Germain, will have a strong resonance with as many people as possible.
The PSG’s director of sponsorship, Cynthia Marcou said that as a new generation club, Paris Saint-Germain is particularly sensitive to ethical issues and in particular the prevention of risks in sports betting.
Marcou added that the club is happy, to promote a healthy and responsible practice with ParionsSport, and that they are hopeful, this campaign will reach club lovers and beyond, in order to make a real difference.
